A public drop-off point is a place with a collection box where members of the public can drop off hard-to-recycle rubbish to be recycled by TerraCycle. They are typically set up and managed by a single person or a small group of people - the administrator(s). The administrator will be in charge of:
- Managing the public drop-off point
- Sending the rubbish to TerraCycle
- Deciding how earned points will be distributed to non-profit organisations.
Public drop-off points engage local communities and therefore result in larger amounts of waste collected. All public drop-off points can be found here.
