What is a public drop-off point and what does it involve?

A public drop-off point is a place with a collection box where members of the public can drop off hard-to-recycle rubbish to be recycled by TerraCycle. They are typically set up and managed by a single person or a small group of people - the administrator(s). The administrator will be in charge of:

  • Managing the public drop-off point
  • Sending the rubbish to TerraCycle
  • Deciding how earned points will be distributed to non-profit organisations.

Public drop-off points engage local communities and therefore result in larger amounts of waste collected. All public drop-off points can be found here.

    Hi David DavidS,

The map can be found on this page. Simply scroll down and accept the disclaimer (as per the below screenshot), before inserting your postcode and the waste stream you wish to recycle.

    Kind regards,

    Helen
